Class Descriptions

Play-in - Every student participates Friday night playing songs they know from the Suzuki repertoire. Clinicians make it fun to play along. (Included in workshop fee.)

Master Classes - In groups of 3 or 4, students learn from the clinician how to make a polished piece even better. MCs are scheduled primarily on Friday to avoid conflicts with Saturday's schedule. (1 per student is included in the workshop fee.)

Group Classes - Clinician led groups based on age and ability concentrate on songs to play for the final concert. See *cello review pieces listed below. (2 per student included in workshop fee.)

Additional Classes - The following additional classes will be assigned to each student based on age, ability, and personal schedule:

Fiddle Master Class with Pattie Hopkins Expand your knowledge of Celtic and Appalachian traditional bowing and fingering styles. A Suzuki repertoire master class is included in the workshop fee. If you prefer to substitute a fiddle master class, indicate this on the registration form. You may also add a fiddle master class to your schedule for an additional $15.
