STAHR Italy Tour June 2012

We are so excited to announce that STAHR's "Suzuki Strings of Hampton Roads" ensemble is planning a performance tour of Italy in June 2012. We will visit the cities of Rome, Siena, Florence, Cremona, Venice, Verona and Milan during the 10 day/8 night adventure. There will be approximately 3 performances, primarily in churches, and lots of opportunity for touring and enjoying the sites and the fantastic food.

Students are eligible to perform with the group if they are at least: Suzuki Violin Book 4, Suzuki Cello Book 2 or Suzuki Viola Book 3

The ensemble will meet during the year and perform together to prepare for this experience as well as fundraise together for group expenses and some individual expense assistance. Students must have an adult chaperone if they are under 16 years old. Siblings, family members and friends are invited to join our tour as our audience" and share in the excitement of discovering Italy.

The cost of the trip is $3500 per person. Click here to see the itinerary that will explain what is included in the package from Music Celebrations International, our tour company, and what is not. We have also included a payment plan to help everyone reach the goal of affording the trip.

If you are interested, please respond to this email. We are glad to answer any questions you might have. I have been on this tour in 2004 so I am familiar with the schedule and the appropriateness for different ages. A tour meeting will be planned for sometime in MAY (2011) so please contact us soon so we can put a meeting time together.

Thank you,
Christina Morton, STAHR president at cmviolen@aol.com
